How to Make Sure Your Makeup Stays in Place on Hot Summer Days

Those of us who don’t leave house without proper makeup on know the real struggle of hot summer days. We want that bronzer on and highlighter as well to show off our sun-kissed skin, but the real issue is keeping the makeup fresh and not oily due to the heat.

Here are some tricks and tips that will make sure your makeup stays in place even on the hottest summer days:

Prep your skin

You should always start with washing your face, so that the skin is properly cooled down. Once your skin is ready apply light moisturiser, preferably oil free one and with SPF, finish the prep with a primer.

Know your products

If you have an oily skin, it is super important to pay attention to what makeup products you use, especially during summer. In order to avoid oily, shining skin, choose products that are not based on oil. Same goes for eyeliners and eyeshadow. Choose waterproof gel-based liner for longer durability and powder-based eyeshadow and blushes.

Once your basic look is ready, don’t forget to set everything with a setting spray or white powder

These tricks will reduce the chances of your skin becoming oily and your makeup melting. However, we have one last golden tip for you – always keep some blotting paper in your bag for the emergencies.
